GSPro Update Scheduled for 1/18 - Is GsPro Down For You?

This is more of a heads up and warning to everyone that there is a major update scheduled for GSPro on the 18th of this month. Some of the regulars in discord joked that on the 19th there would be hundreds of people on Discord asking why GSPro is down.

Well, it’s not down but updated. You will need to download the new, enhanced version and the updated courses. At the time of the upgrade there will only be a small number of enhanced courses available so it is likely an issue of your courses no longer working.

What’s in the GSPro Upgrade

New Driving Range – It looks different however seems to function pretty much the same as the old driving range.

New Flag Color (much easier to identify now)

The new flag design is much easier to see. Love this upgrade!

On Course Practice – this is actually awesome you can play any hole and within the hole place the ball wherever you want to hit shot after shot.

Practice any shot you want over and over. Click on any hole to move to that hole and place your ball anywhere on the mini-map to hit repeatable shots from that location. Great for learning the bunker penalties, tree colliders and what shot you can and more importantly can-not hit.

Online Match Play

I’ve not yet played an online match but here is what you do.

Upgrading GSPro

Step 1: Download the new launcher. Unzip this and replace the existing file in your GSPro folder.

Step 2: Delete all the courses in your courses folder

Step 3: Download new courses (find a list of courses here)

Step 4: Double click on the launcher and let the update happen. It could take 30+ minutes to update the software depending on your internet speed and the demand on the server.

Step 5: Open the game and go to settings > game > clear course cache

Now you are ready to play.
